Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using hela.tools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Online Tools provides free browser-based utilities for tasks such as image conversion, checksum calculation, encoding, text comparison, JSON and YAML conversion, DNS lookups and similar operations.

The Service is provided free of charge and is funded by advertising. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time without notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process material that is illegal, infringing, malicious or harmful.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure, including circumventing rate limits.
• Use automated scripts or bulk requests in a way that degrades the Service for other users.
• Resell, mirror or misrepresent the Service as your own.

No warranty and accuracy of results

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

You are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it. This applies in particular to cryptographic operations, checksums, hash values and encoded or decoded data. A checksum or hash produced here should be independently confirmed before being used to verify the integrity of important files, and you should not rely on the Cryptography tool for the protection of confidential information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free) or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Your content

You retain all rights to the files and text you submit. We claim no ownership over your content.

Because submissions are processed in memory and discarded immediately, we do not store, review or claim any licence over your content.

Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its design, source code, branding and written content — remains our property and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding.

Third-party services and advertising

The Service displays advertising supplied by third parties, including Google AdSense, and uses third-party analytics. Your interactions with those providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We also link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of factors outside our control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of this Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
